Adopt Me!

Don’t Forget the Seniors!

We encourage you to consider adopting one of our adult or senior animals. Remember, a pet doesn’t have to be a puppy or a kitten to be the perfect companion.

Older animals have a lot to offer, including known personalities. And they usually have experience with the do's and don'ts of living in a home environment, and often have received some training.

Be sure to check out our Before You Adopt page for things to consider.

All animals are carefully evaluated by RCHS to better match the needs of the animals to those of their new owners. And we’re always available to offer advice even after your adoption is complete.

If you’re interested in one of our awesome pets, we encourage you to come by the shelter for a visit. We will talk with you about your family, your lifestyle, and what the pet’s day might look like, in order to help match you with your new best friend!

If you'd like to inquire about the status of a particular pet, or if you have questions about the adoption process, please fill out our online adoption inquiry form.

If you already know which pet you would like to adopt and want to move ahead with the adoption process, then download our Pet Adoption Application Form (MS Word doc), fill it out, and email it back to us.

Don't forget to check out our Adoption Policies.
